Do you have a favourite Spanish word? or a favourite word in your own language?
'Querétaro' is the name of a city in Mexico and means 'island of blue salamanders'. The name was put forward by the Mexican actor Gael García Bernal and more than 33,000 people voted in the event which was part of the 'Día del Español' organised by the Cervantes Institute.
My favourite word in Spanish is 'aún' which means still, as in still here. I just love the sound!
