Notre visite à Paris

40 Year 9 students have just returned today from their language trip to Paris.  They stayed in the Château de Grande Romaine and enjoyed visiting Paris, a local market, abseiling and climbing and a visit to Parc Astérix.

Merci beaucoup à tous for being such a fine group and great ambassadors for our College.

Merci énormément to all the staff who accompanied the trip and/or helped organise it: Mrs McGarr, Miss Morbey, Mrs Barnes, Mr Cardiet, Mr Carr, and Mr Dalgleish.  I am sure that like me they are off to sleep but look forward to seeing you all tomorrow in College!

HCC Welcomes a visit from Norway

Velkommen - to the students and staff from Hemne videregaende skole, Norway, who visited us recently and entertained us greatly with some dancing!  The students toured the College and later walked to Loe Bar and Porthleven.  We are hoping to undertake a joint Comenius project together with the Lycé Jean Moulin in Brittany later next year.

Une visite au zoo/Una visita al zoo

Year 7 French and Spanish groups recently enjoyed a day at Newquay Zoo during which they practised their newly acquired language skills and learned a great deal about the environmental problems that animals face.  Merci/Gracias to Mr Mark Norris from the Education Department at Newquay Zoo for giving two talks in both French and Spanish about lemurs and of course the legendary Monty the Python!
